Ramon H. Franco, 76, longtime Deming resident passed away Thursday July 27, 2023 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel where Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6 o’clock in the evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the following day at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Aloysius Orekie, Pastor, will officiate.

Ramon was born April 21, 1947 in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Cornelia Holguin and Manuel Franco. Ramon was the owner of the Bel Shore restaurant where he shared his cooking talents with many.  He enjoyed camping and in his free time he loved spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Margarita C. Franco; son, David Franco; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Eligio (Anita) Madrid, Hector (Gloria) Madrid, Ernesto Madrid, Eloy (Maria) Madrid, Jesus (Martina) Madrid, Miguel (Betty) Madrid; sister, Josefina Madrid (Arturo Lugo); sister-in-law Maria Madrid.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ramon Franco Jr. and brother Jose Madrid.

Pallbearers will be Raymundo Franco, Anthony Franco, Eloy Madrid, Eligio Madrid, Miguel Madrid and Jesus Madrid.

 
Ramón H. Franco, de 76 años, residente de Deming desde hace mucho tiempo, falleció el jueves 27 de julio de 2023 en el Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

La visitacion sera el martes 1 de agosto de 2023 a las 4 de la tarde en la Capilla Funeraria de Baca, donde el rezo del Santo Rosario comenzará a las 6 de la tarde. La misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará al día siguiente a las 10 de la mañana en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Ana con el entierro a seguir en el cementerio Vista de la Montaña El Padre Aloysius Orekie, párroco, oficiará.

Ramón nació el 21 de abril de 1947 en Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Cornelia Holguín y Manuel Franco. Ramón era el dueño del restaurante Bel Shore, donde compartió sus talentos culinarios con muchos.  Le gustaba acampar y en su tiempo libre le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia. Era un comulgante de la Iglesia Católica de Santa Ana.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su amada esposa de 53 años, Margarita C. Franco; hijo, David Franco Olga Alvarado); 8 nietos; 8 bisnietos; seis hermanos, Eligio (Anita) Madrid, Héctor (Gloria) Madrid, Ernesto Madrid, Eloy (María) Madrid, Jesús (Martina) Madrid, Miguel (Betty) Madrid; hermana, Josefina Madrid (Arturo Lugo); cuñada María Madrid. 

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres; hijo, Ramón Franco Jr. y hermano José Madrid. 

Los portadores del féretro serán Raymundo Franco, Anthony Franco, Eloy Madrid, Eligio Madrid, Miguel Madrid y Jesús Madrid.
