MunozEEsperanza Gonzalez Muñoz, 81, Deming resident entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in Las Cruces.

Visitation will begin Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held the following day at 11 o’ clock in the morning also at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with the final interment to take place at Mountain View Cemetery where Esperanza will be laid to rest. Her son Efrain Gonzalez Jr. and his wife, Alma will be officiating.

Esperanza was born May 15, 1942 in La Junta, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Carmen (Fierro) Muñoz. She was a very kind hearted soul who loved life and her family even more so. With the life that she loved she enjoyed many things that came with it which included knitting and crocheting, watching Dallas Cowboy football, gardening in which she had a green thumb for, and enjoyed watching the famous Deming Duck Race Parade and seeing her grandchildren be part of it during their time in band. She also enjoyed the many holidays that brought her family all together. Esperanza will be missed by many and loved by all. May she rest in rest.

She is survived by her children Efrain (Alma) Gonzalez Jr., Martha Gonzalez, Lupe Gonzalez, Blanca Lorena Gonzalez, Maria del Carmen (Javier) Torres, Elvia (Abelardo) Renteria Gonzalez, Emma Gonzalez, Karina Gonzalez, and Mayra (Tyson) Sandoval; 3 siblings, 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death include her parents Francisco and Carmen Muñoz; her spouse Efrain Gonzalez; a son Enrique Gonzalez and 2 siblings.

Pallbearers will serve as Francisco Renteria, Armando and Ricardo Arellano, Cesar Gonzalez, Kevin Garcia, and Alfredo Estrada. Honorary bearers will be Angel Sandoval and Roberto Marquez.

La visitacion sera el viernes 25 de agosto de 2023 de 4 p.m. a 8 p.m. en la Funeraria de Baca’s. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo al día siguiente a las 11 de la mañana también en la Funeraria de Baca’s y el entierro final tendrá lugar en el cementerio Vista de la Montaña, donde Esperanza será enterrada. Su hijo Efrain González Jr. y su esposa, Alma oficiarán.  

Esperanza nació el 15 de mayo de 1942 en La Junta, Chihuahua, México, hija de Francisco y Carmen (Fierro) Muñoz. Era un alma de corazón muy amable que amaba la vida y a su familia aún más, disfrutaba de muchas cosas que incluían tejer, ver el fútbol americano de los Dallas Cowboys, la jardinería en la que tenía muy buena mano, todo lo que sembraba crecia muy bonito, tambien disfrutaba viendo el famoso Desfile de la Carrera de los Patos y ver a sus nietos ser parte de él durante el tiempo que estuvieron en la banda. Ella también disfrutó de las muchas vacaciones que unieron a su familia. Esperanza será extrañada por muchos y amada por todos. Que descanse en paz. 

Le sobreviven sus hijos Efrain (Alma) Gonzalez Jr., Martha Gonzalez, Lupe Gonzalez, Blanca Lorena Gonzalez, Maria del Carmen (Javier) Torres, Elvia (Abelardo) Renteria Gonzalez, Emma Gonzalez, Karina Gonzalez y Mayra (Tyson) Sandoval; 3 hermanos, 21 nietos y 16 bisnietos. 

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres Francisco y Carmen Muñoz; su esposo Efrain González; un hijo Enrique González y 2 hermanos. 

Los portadores del féretro seran Francisco Rentería, Armando y Ricardo Arellano, César González, Kevin García y Alfredo Estrada. Los portadores honorarios serán Ángel Sandoval y Roberto Márquez.
