ConnerRBob Conner, age 94, walked up the steps of Heaven to be with the Lord on December 9, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home with two of his grandchildren by his side. 


Bob was born on May 17, 1929, in Roswell, New Mexico to Robert and Faye Conner.  He grew up in Hagerman and graduated from Arizona State University.  He proudly served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army from 1951 to 1954 and made a career as an office manager of Bogle Farms in Dexter, NM.  He resided in Silver City for the last 20 years.  He was involved in many organizations throughout Arizona and New Mexico including Lions, Shriners and was a lifetime Elks member. He loved traveling in his 5th wheel “rig”, cruises, and other activities where he enjoyed taking photos of his travels. 

 
Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert Conner Sr; mother Faye Conner; first wife Jimmie, second wife Peggy; third wife Betty; and grandson Brady.  He is survived by his daughter Jennie (Rikk) Vallejos; adopted children Joey and Missy; grandchildren Danielle Fierro, Mike Briseno, Demi McBride; and great grandchildren Desiree and Gabi Serna. 

 
A celebration of life will be held in Bob’s honor from 2:00-4:00pm at the Silver City Elks Lodge No. 413 on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
