JuradoDDavid C. Jurado, 70, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2023.  He was born on June 15, 1953 to his mother, Jesusita Jurado in El Paso, TX.  David passed away in his home, surrounded by love and his music. David's passing has left a void in the hearts of many who knew him. His love for the Dallas Cowboys was unparalleled, and his passion for the team was infectious. He would often spend Sundays glued to the TV, cheering on his beloved 'Boys' while surrounded by family and friends. His love for sports extended beyond football, as he also followed his Phoenix Suns and Alabama Crimson Tide closely and never missed an opportunity to watch WWE. His collection of movies was nothing short of impressive, and he took great pride in expanding it whenever he got the chance.  But it was David's love for music that truly defined him. His eclectic taste and encyclopedic knowledge of songs knew no bounds. He and his children had a successful career as local DJs, spinning tunes and bringing joy to countless people. His love for fishing and spending time with family was equally strong, and he cherished every moment he got to share those experiences with those he held dear. He enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, cooking for those he loved. David may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. He will always be loved and remembered.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth O. Jurado; his sons, Rene Jurado (Melissa) of Arenas Valley, NM, Carlos Jurado (companion-Virginia Vigil) of Las Cruces, NM, David Jurado Jr. (Francine) of Silver City, NM, and Javier Jurado (Bertha) of Silver City, NM; his daughters, Estela Jurado of Silver City, NM and Irene Jurado of Silver City, NM; his sister, Irene Gamboa (Johnny) of California; his twenty-three grandchildren; Rene Jr, Dominic, Sergio, Justin, Gabriel, Emma, Alejandro, Cruzito, Esperanza, Carlos Jr., Fernando David, Dimitri, Breanna, David III, Mariah, Geneveve, D’Anna(companion Joe), Ysabelle, Giovanni, Luis, Mikey, Alicia, Jaime and Roman. He is also survived by a special niece whom he considered as one of his own, Sophia Tapscott (Justin), and their two children.  He is preceded in death by his mother; his grandson, Ceasar Hernandez; and his father-in-law, Macedonio Gonzales.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 5:00-6:00pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary commencing at 6:00pm, with Carmen Terrazas reciting.  The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with Father Martin Okonkwo officiating.  Pallbearers are David Jurado Jr., Carlos Jurado, Rene Jurado, Javier Jurado, Justin Tapscott and Joe Gallardo.
