NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners, constituting the governing body of Grant County, New Mexico will consider the adoption of an ordinance (the “Ordinance”) entitled: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE OPERATION OF OFF-HIGHWAY MOTOR VEHICLES ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY GRANT COUNTY.

The Town of Silver City Council will hold a public hearing during their regular Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Grant County Administration Center, 1400 Hwy 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico. The public is invited to attend. The agenda will include:

Police Patrol

 The City of Bayard is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Police Patrol. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and certification as a police officer by the New Mexico Law Enforcement with a minimum of five years patrol experience with three years supervisory experience. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Applicant must possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license. Applicant must be free of physical impairments that would prevent performance of duties. Applicants will undergo thorough background investigations, interviews and psychological testing, as well as a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Fringe benefits include annual and sick leave, group health insurance and PERA retirement. Input on Public Projects Sought for Village of Santa Clara Infrastructure and Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP)

The Village of Santa Clara wishes to inform all interested parties that public meetings will be held at 105 N. Bayard St. Santa Clara, NM the following dates, times and locations:

The purpose of these meetings is to seek input from the citizens of the Village of Santa Clara on projects for inclusion in a local infrastructure capital improvement plan, a plan that establishes planning priorities for anticipated capital projects.

Capital projects may include but are not limited to the following areas: Administrative Facilities, Clean Energy, Streets, Roads, Sidewalks, Curbs, Gutters, Bridges, and Bicycle Facilities, Housing, Sewer Collection and Treatment, Storm and Surface Water Control, Water, Solid Waste, Public Utilities, Transit, Airports, Parks and Trails, Land and Site Acquisition, Community Service Facilities, Public Safety and Emergency, Libraries, Renovation, and Regional Projects.

The plan incorporates policy direction, funding time frames, estimated costs, justifications, and the details of each specific infrastructure capital improvement project proposed, by year, for a 5 year period.
