Albuquerque – Today, former Biden Interior Secretary Deb Haaland is celebrating record fundraising for her gubernatorial campaign which now boasts more than $2 million in its coffers. This record windfall arrives after the Biden administration spent a record $370 billion on so-called green investments, billions of which have been found to be controversial and are now being pulled back. While Haaland’s campaign has issued a press release on her cash haul, there is no information to be found on the Secretary of State website’s to verify exactly who is donating to her campaign.
“With so much apparent fraud and billions rushed out the door to green groups after the election, it is incumbent upon Deb Haaland to be transparent, and expose any potential conflict of interest or any donations that could make the voters question her ethics,“ said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “Her campaign is not forthcoming about whether or not most of her donations are coming from outside New Mexico, or if they came from anyone who received taxpayer support through her former department. These are simple questions and New Mexicans deserve swift answers.”
