Announcement Takes Place Exactly Two Weeks After PTF's Letter Raising Questions About the Program

Washington, D.C. — Power The Future applauds the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for revamping Joe Biden's failed electric school bus program. In an announcement today, the EPA said it wants to hear from the public on the best way forward for the program to ensure it delivers safe, affordable, and reliable transportation to the nation's schoolchildren. During an audit, inspectors found the Biden EPA "did not monitor bus deployment status and recipient use of over $836 million of 2022 Clean School Bus" program.  EPA's decision arrives exactly two weeks after Power The Future sent a letter requesting a deeper look at the electric bus program.

"When it comes to transporting America's schoolchildren, common sense should be in the driver's seat, not the green agenda," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. "We are grateful to Administrator Zeldin for making sure the remaining dollars go where they will be most effective. The EPA's Clean School Bus program is among many of the "green" programs the Biden Administration failed to control. Other examples include:
