Washington, D.C. - According to a new report from the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost for Thanksgiving dinner this year is down 5 percent from last year. The drop in Thanksgiving dinner prices correlates with the recent drop in America's energy prices from the last four years. From 2021 through 2024, the average cost for gasoline in November was $3.47 per gallon, compared to $2.68 during each November under President Trump.
"More affordable life starts with more abundant energy, and thanks to the policies of the Trump Administration, Americans are starting to see meaningful results on both fronts," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. "Lower energy costs ripple through the economy and are showing up not only on the roads, but also on the table this Thanksgiving. This year we have many reasons to be grateful, and President Trump ending the Green New Deal detour is high atop that list."
According the Energy Information Administration, oil production in the United States is currently at a record level of more than 13.79 million barrels every day.
