Washington, D.C. — Today, AAA reported the national average for regular gasoline has fallen back below $4 a gallon. The drop continues weeks of falling prices at the pump with the national average dropping over 51 cents in just the last month.
"American Energy Dominance works, and today's falling gas prices are proof our families pay less when our country produces more," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. "This time four years ago, the failed green agenda was delivering record high prices and endless excuses while treating American energy like the enemy. These falling prices prove the eco-activists are wrong: more American energy isn't a problem, it's the solution."
According to the Energy Information Administration, in 2022 the national average price for gasoline was more than $4 a gallon for six straight months, reaching a record high of $5.03 in June.
