Washington, D.C. — The Trump Administration has announced it will withdraw the United States from multiple climate agreements that undermine American sovereignty. The agreements placed disproportionate burdens on U.S. energy producers while allowing major polluters like China to move forward. In response, Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future issued the following statement:
"These agreements were never about the environment, but about surrendering American energy independence and empowering foreign bureaucrats at the expense of our energy workers. Under these agreements, the US was expected to pay more but produce less energy while China was given a free pass to pollute and profit. The price at the pump is proof that we didn't need these agreements, all we needed was a new President."
