Washington, D.C. - In order to recognize the life-saving work of America's coal, oil and natural gas workers, Power The Future is declaring April 22 as the first "American Fossil Fuel Workers Day of Visibility" with a multi-faceted digital ad campaign.

The campaign consists of a proclamation, as well as mobile billboards circling the White House and National Mall where Earth Day demonstrations are planned. An image of the billboard is available below.

"American energy workers make every aspect of life possible, and yet instead of appreciation they are met with outright hostility from the Biden White House and other environmental extremists," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director of Power The Future. "It's the height of irony that the clueless protests wouldn't be possible without the fossil fuels they are demonizing. On this day, we encourage Americans everywhere to remember the critical contributions of our nation's fossil fuel workers."

Power The Future's American Fossil Fuel Workers Day of Visibility

On Fossil Fuel Worker Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of working Americans and reaffirm our Nation's commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where the work of all people is celebrated and appreciated throughout their lives.

Despite the fact the Biden Administration has stood for energy poverty from the start, working to demonize the fossil fuel community so families can live with difficulty, in inflation, with high prices, and disrespect.

America's Fossil Fuel workers are part of the fabric of our Nation.  Whether serving their communities or in the military, raising families or running businesses, they help America thrive.  But extremists are proposing hundreds of hateful laws that target fossil fuel workers and their families — silencing critics; banning those who don't embrace their narrative; and even threatening them with unemployment by callously telling them they can "learn to code." These efforts attack our most basic American values:  the freedom to be yourself, the freedom to work, and even the right to provide for your family.  It is no surprise that the bullying that American Fossil Fuel Workers face is worsening our Nation's mental health crisis, leading to shattered communities where drug abuse and crime run rampant.  Let Us be clear:  All of these attacks are un-American and must end.

Today, we send a message to all American Fossil Fuel Workers:  You are loved.  You are heard.  You are understood.  You belong.  You are America, and millions of grateful countrymen and women have your back.

NOW, THEREFORE, We, POWER THE FUTURE, do hereby proclaim April 22, 2024, as American Fossil Fuel Workers Day of Visibility.  We call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of fossil fuel workers throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating arrogance and contempt based on the extreme climate agenda.

Power The Future is a 501c4 non-profit dedicated to fighting for American energy workers.
