Washington, D.C. - As the final night of the Democratic National Convention gets under way, many are noticing the lack of mentions about the Biden-Harris controversial energy agenda. A major story in the Washington Post outlines the silence as a possible political calculation on the part of the Harris campaign. Specifically, in the key election state of Pennsylvania where the natural gas industry is critical, and where the Harris agenda would do even more damage.

“Kamala Harris was proud to sponsor the Green New Deal and of her position to ban fracking, but now all we get from her is the sound of silence,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “She needs families to forget the struggles they’ve endured from the record prices and massive inflation she delivered as she cast the tie-breaking vote for the biggest green bailout in history. From the DNC going nearly silent on their energy agenda to auto manufacturers losing billions on EVs, the failures of the Kamala Harris plan are clearly on full display this week.”

Just yesterday, Ford announced they will scrape plans for an all-electric SUV as demand for the vehicles is declining. From the Wall Street Journal:

“Ford has said its EV business is on pace to lose about $5 billion this year. In the three-month period ended in June, the automaker lost about $44,000 on every electric vehicle that it sold.”
