My brief habitation in this current incarnation has convinced me of one irrefutable conclusion — my brain is dumber than my butt and I have the IQ tests to prove it.

It must be, because it seems to be continually fooled and conned into various politically generated scams and deceptions.

Which, I guess, is also a malady affecting most folks.

Or else, why would we be in the mess we're in?

Fried brains, butts and bewilderment is synonymous with believing nearly everything the government tells us, for the simple fact we're too trusting.

"Our elected representatives wouldn't intentionally do stuff to harm us" goes the reasoning, even while they are intentionally doing stuff to harm us.

Got doubt ? Take a look at the $38 trillion bottomless financial pit they've dug for us and tell me "It happened by accident."

Sure it did — Concord grapes come from plumb trees, Saturn's rings are sold at Kay Jewlers and the fork ran away with the spoon.

Apparently, it isn't overly difficult to fool a large portion of society. Usually, all it takes is a promise to create a "temporary program" to fix something the government says needs fixing.

Then, like magic, the temporary program gradually morphs into a permanent department of government, requiring billions of dollars a year to operate.

The recent COVID-19 "pandemic" is an excellent example.

The COVID-19 virus flew over from China and invaded the United States several years ago. It became the primary villain associated with death, mayhem and government intervention into just about every facet of our lives.

Various departments of health were soon dispensing experminental drugs and pharmacuticals to help "Flatten the curve."

One injection, then two, then three, followed by an equal number of "booster shots" became the routine prescribed remedy.

People still got sick, but Big Pharma got rich. Which, probably, was the idea.

At first, face masks were believed not to be an effective device against the airborne threat, until super smart government scientists and health department honchos begin telling us to strap them on.

Wear two or three or as many as you wanted. The more the better the sales pitch affirmed until millions of folks were walking around, masked-up like 1930s bank robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.

So maniacal was this little germ Capitol Hill experts warned us it was absolutely necessary to close churches and public schools to "Stop the spread of the disease."

That, somehow, these places could rapidly disseminate the virus if allowed to remain open.

Yet, Walmart, Home Depot, gas stations, Circle K's and most big box stores were permitted to do business as normal. The danger was supposedly reduced because shoppers were instructed to wear masks, wipe their hands with antiseptic cloths when entering, stay at least six-feet apart while gathering bread and jars of peanut butter, underwear, 2 x 4s or pumping Chevron's $4.87 regular.

But, school kids and church goers were determined to be possible plague carriers if they attended class or worshiped together.

Later, we were persuaded if we only stayed home, had our kids learn "remotely" by computer and said our prayers over the kitchen sink on Sunday mornings, these extra safety measures would wither the infestation.

Don't even think of attending Granny's birthday party. She'll have to be satisfied with seeing you on the cell phone.

President Joe Biden led by example. He received every "jab," "booster" and medical check-up possible and still became ill — a couple of times.

However, looking back, I'm not really certain he remembers any of it — or even if knew it then.

Some First Responders and military personnel were fired from their jobs if they refused to be inoculated.

Following all the remedies, safety procedures, shots, masks and other government recommended methods, we were promised the deadliest flu since the Spanish Influenza of 1918-20 would abate and life would return to normal.

Just as soon as something called "Long COVID" was wrangled.

Except it hasn't been. Our society and economy was nearly wrecked in the process, and a Democrat President was dethroned after only a single term.

A Republican took his place and was soon castigated as "The New Hitler" and his followers labeled Nazis.

Everyone quickly forgot about the dreaded COVID. There was a new "Bad Guy in town" to blame the country's woes on — Donald John Trump.

Actually, it was the same bad guy as before. He was simply reelected after a four-year recess following Joe Biden's incredible four-years of screw-ups.

Fascinated by the unparalleled evil of this dude, Congress impeached him twice in his first term, and accused him of multiple criminal activities.

He wasn't imprisoned for any of the charges, but the media went berserk over them. Insinuating President Trump may have not been legally liable of the accusations, but he should have been if he was.

Or, something like that.

Sort of reminiscent of the old comedy line"Do you still beat your wife?"

During his second Presidential campaign, Trump was nearly assassinated — twice.

After being reelected, Dems began chanting "No Kings!" Somehow, this juvinile utterance became the follow-up cheer with street demonstrations protesting "The Orange Man's" alleged unlawful authority.

More amazing, Dem's seem to actually believe Trump is a King, even though they're forgetful of the fact the Constitution prohibits titles of nobility (Article 1, Sec 10, par. 1).

Our ancestors fled England and Europe to get away from kings and dictatorial maniacs.

We fought, and won, a revolution over it. Did it again in 1812 — just to remind the opposition we were still firm in our "No Kings" opinion.

But, something to the contrary happened during the Biden Administration's COVID-19 retallation. We mistakenly allowed the government, under the guise of shielding us from a foreign-originated disease, to impose restrictions and bogus mandates requiring we adhere to Washington declarations which were directly in opposition to the contemporary "No Kings" yammerings we're hearing today.

Apparently "No Kings" doesn't apply to everyone; only Republican Kings. Democrat Kings must be okay.

To the extent Democrat King Joe's acolytes overruled the 1st Amendment's "Congress shall make no law . . . prohibiting the free exercise thereof" (religion) and "peaceably assemble" clause in the Constitution and proceeded to lockdown churches and snyagogues, and limited participation of Sunday worship activities.

Several court decisions were decided, including one from the Supreme Court indicating "at least six justices of the Supreme Court have concluded that churches cannot be treated less favorably during a pandemic than comparable secular organizations." — Calvary Chapel v. Sisolak, July 24, 2020.

"Why" did Biden's government allow and enforce this obvious violation of Constitutional rights?

Rather, "Why" did the churches go along with it? What did they hope to gain by closing their doors and restricting attendance in order to agree with an obviously dubious declaration?

There were no armies attacking and burning their buildings. No one threatened nuclear annihilation if they suddenly didn't comply with questionable Washington edicts. Congregrants were not rioting in the streets.

However, various states were confused over the mandates. Some clerics wanted to remain open while others were content locking church doors.

What were the churches so afraid of that they risked a shrinking membership in order to adhere to questionable government orders?

I can think of one major concern — they may have thought they might endanger their government granted tax exemptions by refusing to comply with Washington's directives.

Or, possibly, they had more confidence in their church authorities than the ancient wisdom penned into the Constitution.

With tens of millions of participants attending dozens of different churches, it seems logical to me if the pastors, priests, bishops and directors of these religious organizations were to simply say "We're not going to cancel our Sunday services while the government allows Walmart, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Citi Bank, McDonald's, Delta Airlines, General Motors, Costco and hundreds of other business to operate as usual on Sunday."

"We have the Constitutional right to peaceably assemble and worship the Lord as we please" reminder would have probably put an end to it. The jig would be up and the scam would have been exposed for the fraud it was.

After all, a church chapel isn't as confining as a commercial airplane cramed full of people, sitting shoulder to shoulder, with a few sneezing and coughing at 30,000-feet.

How would the government react to a nationwide refusal to close churches — arrest thousands of church authorities and millions of members for violating some stupid regulation? Good grief, folks have been attending church on Sunday for centuries; through all kinds of health issues, wars and civil disturbances.

That's what they do and they don't need the government's approval to do it. At least, not in this country.

Fortunately, the nincompoops responsible for this idiocy are no longer in office.
Joe's gone to the beach and his associates have moved on to other endeavors.

Which brings me back to the "Brains, Butts & Bewilderment" analogy. Sometimes, it's difficult to tell which hurts more after the government gets through promising us "We're here to help."

I believe those were the same words Biden's minions told the residents of East Palestine, Ohio after a horrendous chemical train derailment, and the folks in North Carolina following a devastating hurricane.

Anytime you hear the greeting "We're from the government. How can we help you?" slam the door immediately. More than likely, it's just a play on words, recited from memory by a woke DEI hired employee who probably has no idea what he's talking about, or who he's talking to, or why.

Other than his boss may have told him to "Look busy — just in case someone wonders what are all those papers you're handing out?"

"But sir," the impressionable employee asks "what are all these papers and why am I handing them out?"

Sternly looking the young dude in the eye, the boss barked "Because you have to at least pretend you're doing something to earn your pay!!!"
