There is so much going on in our world that every now and then I feel like a random thoughts and observations column can at least touch on a few of the things that we can't get to in our daily lives or for me, on the radio show.

Lisa Cook was fired from her position as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. In addition to what are now normal claims of racism, the left wing believes the president does not have the authority to remove a member of the Board of Governors. Despite the fact that there is this pesky little thing known as law. The relevant statute gives the chief executive the authority to remove a member for cause. Ms. Cook now has three investigations into separate claims of mortgage fraud. Neither charges nor a conviction is required for the president to have cause.

USA Today reported on the church shooting in Minneapolis without mentioning the perpetrator's name or any demographic information. Yet they were able to discuss several prior "mass shootings" by identifying white supremacists, a right-wing extremist, a Trump supporter, an antisemite and other identifying or demographic characteristics of those shooters. I wonder why that is.

The mayor of Washington DC said that the crime rate is down and there has not been a single murder since president trump nestled the National Guard to assist the Washington DC Police Department. That's pretty good considering the murder rate in Washington DC was greater than that of Haiti, Brazil, or Colombia prior to the deployment. I'm sure to some extent that was difficult for her to admit. Kudos for doing so mayor.

The mayor of Minneapolis was quick to defend the transgender community in light of the shooting. He said there is no reason to blame the entire community for the acts of one individual, he is correct on that point. Yet in the last two years or so there have been 9 so-called mass shootings committed by people identifying as transgender. Given that they are such a small portion of our overall population don't you have to investigate a possible causal relationship? Is it possible that they are taking drugs to help them transition and that is causing some type of mental imbalance?

Kamala Harris has purchased a $30 million home in California. As is usually the case with politicians, she has not had a job at any time in her life that could financially support such a purchase. Yet her supporters are more upset about Donald Trump cancelling her secret service detail. They claim political motivation, misogyny, or racism motivated his decision. Once again, don't let the law interfere with your feeling of moral superiority. The relevant statute provides a Secret Service detail to the outgoing VP for six months. There is not a provision to extend the protection beyond that time frame. Joe Biden, or whomever was acting on his behalf at the time, signed a secret order extending the protection. Donald Trump is just following the law.

My friend's wife asked him what the female equivalent of a man cave was. He replied that it was obviously the kitchen. His new living quarters bare a striking resemblance to a doghouse.

To ban guns because the criminals use them is to tell the law abiding citizen that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless.

If you'd like to hear how Elon Musk wants to change our legal system or how one school district in our area is treating toy guns, Tune in to the radio show tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM on 92.9 KCQ FM. Just a hint, Elon loves artificial intelligence. Oh, and that space rock that some scientists are watching approach our solar system, there's proof that it might be a hologram hiding an alien spaceship.
