Most of the corporate media is fawning over Kamala's acceptance speech. Most people, however, were disappointed. It was long on promoting the joyful feelings theme that replaced the Republicans are weird marketing campaign. It was noticeably short on policy. Some media types, such as Chris Cuomo, noted that this could be problematic for voters that are on the fence. He's right the hardcore Donald Trump haters don't care about policy. They ignore the fact that they never liked her to begin with, especially when she was running for her party's nomination against Joe Biden. Now all of a sudden to them, Kamala has transitioned from a ditzy Marxist to a demure serious candidate. Be careful, even though most of us see what she is the Democrat party machine will do everything it can to make sure she wins

it appears the bond for the Silver City school district has passed. Get ready for a 23% increase in your property taxes. We don't yet know how long this increase will last. Superintendent Hawkins said it might be 10 years it might be 30 years. There are still lingering questions about the need for some of the projects as well as the amount of money that is being borrowed. Don't forget the state's matching funds come from your taxes as well. Get ready for your rent to increase along with the cost of eating out, in fact the cost of everything. Maybe it's not a bad thing that there aren't enough people to work since employers won't be able to hire more workers.

Speaking of workers, over the last few years, probably since COVID lockdowns, so I have noticed that quite a few people do not remain with their employer for very long. It used to be that you could go into a local restaurant or retail outlet and see the same faces year after year. Now, the turnover is tremendous. There are lots of reasons for this ranging from a lack of desire to work entry level jobs to a need for higher pay and benefits. As more costs are piled upon business owners, it restricts their ability to pay workers more. Here's a fact that most people don't want to acknowledge, business owners are not making more either. In fact, many are making less than some of their employees.

I watched a video from social media this week. A young person was having a complete and total mental breakdown because "they" we're at a restaurant that did not provide a non-binary, gender neutral, restroom. This person had to hold it for quite some time. It was not an option apparently to use one of the other restrooms that were available. I thought if you were non-binary, you could use either restroom facility. I just can't keep up anymore. But this is the generation that we have raised.

The DNC was praised for featuring a new breed of masculinity. Tim Walz exemplified this kinder less toxic type of man. You should not be surprised. They began attacking toxic masculinity because they know that men who are strong and independent cannot be easily ruled. Some slave owners would beat the strongest most independent slave, sometimes to death, as a way to show others that compliance was expected. Mothers would then teach their young boys to not stand up for themselves. Their intentions were good to keep their son alive, but it resulted in a generation of young men that were destined to be slaves whether literal or figurative. That is what the ruling class wants in our society. And that is why they are celebrating the more feminine, Alan Alda masculinity.

Most of you do not know the details about the vice-presidential nominee's background. He is celebrated as a coach having been successful and molding young men to be successful. As I said, he was celebrated for being a new kind of man. Every account of his time as a coach shows he was very much an example of so-called toxic masculinity. He was the hard-nosed, demanding type of coach. He would berate and yell at his players admonishing them that they could be better. He was in no way shape or form a touchy-feely coach. And there is nothing wrong with being that type of coach. Most great players will tell you that they became great because of a coach that was hard on them. Certainly, many of us who did not achieve great athletic success after high school still benefited from that type of coach. But in today's world, that's not what the rulers need. Believe me, he learned from his numerous trips to communist China. He is still that person behind the scenes. He will be a good comrade.
