Cenozoic Vertebrate Fossils From the Gila Region of Southwestern New Mexico

Dr. Gary Morgan, Curator of Paleontology at New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, will present a talk about his work in the Gila Region of Catron and Grant counties of southwestern New Mexico which encompasses vertebrate fossils, such as Mammoth, giant llama and ground sloth, from the Cenozoic Period. Gary will discuss some of his findings and the significant changes to the fauna during the Late Cenozoic Period. Light refreshments will be available after the meeting, all are welcome to attend. Presented by Western Institute of Lifelong Learning and Southwest New Mexico Audubon Society.
