Jim Allen Salyers
October 13, 2026 — Sixth Judicial District Attorney Norman R. Wheeler announces the arrest of Jim Allen Salyers (37) of Deming, New Mexico for Possession of Child Pornography.
On October 8, 2026, Investigators of the 6th Judicial District Attorney's Office with the assistance of the Deming Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Region 7 Border Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 3470 San Acacia Rd. SW Deming, NM, relating to the possession of Child Pornography. During the search, firearms and possible narcotics were also discovered.
As a result of the operation, 37-year-old Jim Allen Salyers was arrested and charged Federally with Possession of Child Pornography and Possession of a firearm by a Felon by Agents with the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
The Sixth Judicial District Attorney Investigation staff worked closely with the Deming Police Department and Homeland Security agents to locate and formally charge this individual with these crimes.
