* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Western Sierra County in south central New Mexico...
Northeastern Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and
may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing
water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 603 PM MDT, Moderate to briefly heavy rainfall continues to
lift across eastern Grant and Western Sierra Counties. Rainfall
rates around 1 inch per hour have been observed. This will result in minor flooding on several low water crossings in the area.
Rises on the Mimbres River are likely.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Faywood, San Lorenzo, Cuchillo, Hurley, Hillsboro, Sherman,
Cobre, Bayard and Kingston.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
