Dolores and Dr. Byron Garcia, marking an important milestone in their professional journeys toward becoming licensed psychologists. 

As a founding member of the New Mexico Psychology Internship Consortium, HMS remains committed to developing the next generation of behavioral health professionals while addressing the critical mental health needs of rural and underserved communities throughout New Mexico. The consortium model brings together training sites across the state to provide doctoral psychology interns with comprehensive clinical experiences, supervision, and professional development opportunities. HMS has proudly participated in the program since its inception.

Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care have made a lasting impact on the individuals and families they served during their time with the organization.

The NM-PIC internship serves as a critical pathway for increasing the number of psychologists practicing in New Mexico, particularly in rural and underserved areas where access to behavioral health services remains limited. HMS continues to invest in workforce development initiatives that strengthen access to high-quality healthcare and behavioral health services throughout the region. 

As Dr. Dolores and Dr. Garcia transition to their postdoctoral training assignments, HMS extends its sincere gratitude for their contributions and wishes them continued success in their careers.
