Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) is proud to announce that it has earned a 5-Star Rating from the National Rural Rating System (NRRS), a national distinction recognizing rural healthcare organizations that demonstrate exceptional performance in patient experience and service excellence. 

The National Rural Rating System (NRRS) is a national benchmarking and recognition program that evaluates rural healthcare organizations using patient experience and satisfaction data. The program is hosted and administered by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) and provides an objective framework for recognizing organizations that demonstrate excellence in patient-centered care and service. Participating organizations submit rolling annual patient survey results for review and are awarded ratings ranging from one to five stars. Only organizations achieving 4-Star and 5-Star performance are publicly recognized for their exceptional achievement in patient experience. Organizations recognized through the NRRS represent some of the highest-performing rural healthcare providers in the nation, demonstrating a sustained commitment to quality, service, patient-centered care, and community trust. The recognition comes as HMS continues to achieve exceptionally strong patient experience results. HMS's most recent patient satisfaction survey, completed in September 2026 resulted in a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 74, a level widely considered exceptional and indicative of a highly satisfied and loyal patient population. Survey respondents consistently highlighted the professionalism, compassion, attentiveness, and clinical excellence of HMS providers and staff.  Additionally, HMS quality oversight reports documented an overall patient satisfaction rate of 97%, representing one of the organization's strongest patient experience performances in recent years.
