The Tapestry of Talent Fiber Art Fashion show, a fundraiser for the SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) features wearable fiber art and accessories. The fiber art fashions made by members of SWFAC showcase one-of-a-kind designs, unique accessories and home decor. The show will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 1 pm with doors opening at 12:30 pm at The Hearth located at 1915 N. Swan Street in Siver City, NM. Funds raised by the event will go to support classes, outreach to the community, and sales events.

More than one hundred garments, accessories and fiber art will be shown during the fashion show fundraiser. Terri Sullivan, the model coordinator, states, "There are fourteen models, three men and eleven women. I'm really excited about the variety of garments this year. It's been a great experience coordinating the models, and I think they will all look wonderful on the runway."

"All of the models and everyone working on the show are volunteers", states Lisa Rush, chair of the show. "We are grateful to everyone making items for the show and working to make it happen. The fashion show is one of the ways we fulfill our mission to provide rural fiber artists a means to earn income."

The finale garments and most of the fashions and accessories in the fashion show will be available for sale immediately after the show.

In addition to the show, there will be six wonderful gift basket drawings valued from $450 to $515 each. SWFAC members and the community have donated items to make the baskets appealing to everyone. The baskets will be raffled at the show and are only available to fashion show ticket holders.

Online tickets will be available until April 1, otherwise tickets can be purchased at the door. The link for online sales can be found on our website www.fiberartscollective.org. Tickets are $20. The show has sold out in previous years, so SWFAC encourages people to purchase tickets early.

SWFAC is grateful to our sponsors, Janey and Suzi, the Elks Club, an anonymous angel, Mimbres Realty, First NM Bank, and Silver City Daily Press.

SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in the southwest. To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one another. Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn income from their art.
