Topic: Disc Golf

Bart Brown is a passionate disc golfer, tournament director, and advocate for growing the sport throughout southwest New Mexico. He serves as the Tournament Director for the Kneeling Nun Classic, one of the region's premier disc golf events, and as Tournament Chair for the Silver City Disc Golf Club Council. Through these roles, he helps organize tournaments, leagues, and special events that bring players from across New Mexico and neighboring states to Silver City. Bart has been actively involved in the development and promotion of disc golf opportunities throughout Grant County, working with local organizations and community partners to expand access to the sport. He is also working to establish youth disc golf programs through school and community partnerships, helping introduce the next generation to a healthy, affordable outdoor activity. Bart believes disc golf is more than just a game—it is a way to promote recreation, tourism, environmental stewardship, and community connection.
