Photo credit: Frank DeAngelisThe Tapestry of Talent Fiber Art Fashion show, a fundraiser for the SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) features wearable fiber art and accessories. The fiber art fashions made by members of SWFAC showcase one-of-a-kind designs, unique accessories and home decor. The show will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 1 pm with doors opening at 12:30 pm at The Hearth located at 1915 N. Swan Street in Siver City, NM. Funds raised by the event will go to support classes, outreach to the community, and sales events.
In addition to the many stunning wearable art and accessories at the fashion show, there is also a gift basket raffle. "Thanks to the generosity of SWFAC members and the Silver City community, we were able to create six wonderful raffle baskets all overflowing with great items!" states Vicki Gadberry of the raffle basket committee. Brenda Holzinger of the committee adds, "This year each raffle basket is valued between $450 and $510, and contains more than twenty amazing items to wear, display in your home, use in a fiber project or simply enjoy."
Tickets are available only to those attending the fashion show with the drawing held immediately after the fashion show and attendees must be present to win. Almost all of the 100+ fashions and accessories in the fashion show will be available for sale immediately after the show. All fashions will be listed along with their price in the Tapestry of Talent program.
Seating for the event is open and attendees are encouraged to come early at 12:30 pm to be sure to get the seat they want.

SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in the southwest. To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one another. Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn income from their art.
