Hello! The summer is zooming by, as it always does, and we are quickly approaching our submission deadline for the 2026 Silver City Community Film Festival, to take place October 1-4 at the Silco Theater.

For those of you who do not have a project ready for the deadline, or maybe require a bit of pressure(!), we are excited to bring you the 72-Hour Film Contest!

New at the SCCFF this year, the 72-Hour Film Contest will take place Labor Day weekend, September 4-7. After pre-registering, teams will receive an email at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 4 with an object, a location, and an action that must be included in their film. Teams will have until 5:00 pm on Monday, September 7 to write, shoot and edit a 3-5 minute short.
