" A Century full of Hard Work, Grit, and Faith"

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father Alberto H. Perez, 95. He went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2026 surrounded by his family at his home.

He was born on May 28, 1931 in Temósachic, Chihuahua, Mexico to Laureano Perez and Ascension Holguin. He took his final bow — unafraid and with an open heart. A man of extraordinary strength, principles and above all God. He lived almost a full century as a force of nature — unyielding, diligent, and unforgettable. Alberto learned the value of a hard day's work early in life. Whether on the job site, the farm, or at his home, he approached every task with unmatched dedication, integrity, and pride. For many years, he devoted his career to construction and agriculture in the Luna County community.  He earned the deep respect of his colleagues and friends through his hard work, reliability and willingness to help anyone in need. He rarely sought the spotlight, finding his greatest joy in providing for his family and the people he loved.

His wisdom, discipline and unwavering faith in God allowed him to find triumph even on his very challenging days. At home, he was a father to 8 children, and a supportive husband to his lovely wife, Romy of 61 years. Romy gave unmatched support through his life's journeys and challenges and stayed alongside him throughout his life. Alberto's advice was sought by many, and his unwavering strength was a source of comfort and security to all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Romy L. Perez, his children, Arturo Perez (Gloria) of Chihuahua, Mexico, Yolanda Perez Quintana (Fernando) of Phoenix, AZ, Alicia Wilson (Michael) of Deming, Javier Perez of Deming, Albert Perez Jr. (Diana) of El Paso, TX, Saul Perez (Vanessa) of Las Cruces, Raquel Lara of Deming, Samuel Perez of Deming, and 23 beloved grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister Antonia Richardson of Louisville, KY.

Alberto's legacy is one of integrity, resilience, and love.

His family invites all who knew him to a memorial service that will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Visitation will start at 11 o'clock in the morning, with the Service at 12 noon.
