DuggerBillyBilly Eugene Dugger, 80, a resident of Silver City, NM, passed away at home on September 28, 2026, due to a heart episode related to diabetes and previous battle with skin cancer.  He was born on June 14, 1946 to Bob and Peggy Dugger in Loma Linda, CA.  They preceded him in death.

Billy retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service.  He fought in the Vietnam War and was also stationed in Japan and South Korea, the latter is where he met his wife, Karen Dugger.  They had one child, Laura Dugger VandenBergh, who resides in Southern California.  He is also survived by his wife, Adrienne Herrick; brother, Craig Dugger; granddaughter, Cori Webster; grandson, Elijah Hamill and a great-granddaughter, Maizi Webster.

After retiring from the Air Force, he chose the car business for work in Estacada, OR, where his parents then lived.  That is where is met his surviving wife, Adrienne Herrick.  They lived in Estacada, Oregon for a few years and then moved to Sierra Vista, AZ for 11 years and Adrienne's mother, Alma Brickman moved there as well.  Next, they moved to Silver City and Billy found work at the Ford dealership and joined the Mason's and American Legion groups and was active in those until his cancer slowed him down considerably.

Billy loved country music and had many favorites but his number one was "He Stopped Loving Her Today", which is very appropriate now.  He will be buried at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.  The military funeral service there is 'TBD' in order to coordinate with family members from out of state.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels.
