Gail C. Wimberly, 83, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Monday, August 3, 2026, at Gila Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 24, 1942, to Richard and Hope Browne, in Oroville, California.
Gail loved her dogs, Lady, Luke, Rascal and Roxy. She enjoyed gardening and playing in the yard, where she could make an Oasis in the middle of the desert with her landscaping techniques. She was an archeologist and editor for Human Systems Research, and their company published many manuscripts about the Tularosa Basin and White Sands.
Gail is survived by her daughters Dixine Moore and Vickie Fulton (Doug); her grandchildren Tiana Sanchez (Jason), Desiree Gonzales (Jeremy), Tristin Moore (Bailey), Brennan Sharpe & Jonathan Peters; her great-grandchildren Jayelyn Sanchez, Mia Sanchez, Joseph Arzola, Jonathan Peters Jr., and Jayce Daniel Peters; her only companion pet, Roxy.; her sister in-law, Lynne Browne. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Mark Wimberly and son Zachary Sharpe; her brother, Charles Browne.
