Great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents Otis and Iva Beamon; her twin sister, Jacqueline (Jackie) Solum; 2 nephews David and Timothy Skidmore; an infant granddaughter, Elizabeth Chabra and her husband, Daniel Harp.
The Beaman family moved to California about 1937 and began ranching and growing Peaches in the Central Valley. Gerri married after graduating High School in 1950. She was a loving, busy homemaker. Raising three children, she was always there for them loving, cooking, sewing, training, and reading to them. She crocheted, painted beautiful landscapes, and liked to sing and dance. We loved her cookies! In 1966 the family moved to New Mexico and continued to reside in Deming, making many lasting friendships.
Gerri worked at Ramseys Health Food Store for 20 years before retiring. It was a job she really enjoyed, talking to, getting to know and help her patrons. She studied a great deal, researching so as to learn more about the benefits of their products.
Gerri was baptized as one of Jehovah Witnesses in January of 1959 in Stockton, California, and continued to learn and help others including her children to learn the Truths she loved from the Bible. Truths about our Creator Jehovah God and his Son Jesus Christ, and the Beautiful Paradise Earth soon to come. This was the focus of her life's efforts and she received Great Joy from doing so. She also cherished the large spiritual family locally and across the country.
In the last decades of her life, she survived cancer, a stroke, losing much of her vision and the heartbreaks of life. She never complained or drew attention to these.
Gerri was very independent; her loving family did what she allowed us to do for her. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. Until the day she died, her hope was in the coming resurrection, back to a paradise earth…as God purposed it to be. Her greatest hope was to see her Beloved Parents, Sister, Children, and Grandchildren ALL there as well. She had "great faith".
"Thank you Mama. 'I'll see you soon', WE'LL' SEE YOU SOON'"!
