Margarita Ojeda Rodriguez

Margarita Ojeda Rodriguez passed away peacefully on May 05, 2026 at the age of 73 in her home in Columbus, New Mexico.
She was born on October 17,1952 in Santa Maria del Oro, Durango, Mexico to Jose Domingo Ojeda and Maria Cleofas Salgado. Margarita moved to the United States when she was 14 years old. She met the love of her life Tino in California in 1974, and they married in Mexico on April 19, 1975. They continued to live in California and had 4 children before moving to New Mexico in 1994 where they were later blessed with another child in 1997. Margarita was a loving wife and mother who endured various trials in life. She will be remembered for her strength, her faith in God, and her love and kindness.
She enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, spending time with all who came to visit her, sharing "un cafe y panecito." She dedicated her life to her family, her community and her career as a home healthcare worker before retiring.
Margarita is survived by her daughters Irene Rodriguez and Margie Rodriguez, her son Jesus D. Rodriguez. Her Grandchildren Marissa R., Brianna R., Leonel F., Deanna R., Estela R., Samson R., Nathan C., Hailey C., Luis R., and 3 great- grandchildren. Her siblings Mercedes, Julia, Jose Guadalupe (Dolores), Francisco, and Celia (Martin) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: Her husband Tino Jose Rodriguez, her sons Jose Ricardo Rodriguez and Luis Alberto Rodriguez, siblings Ramon and Exaltacion Ojeda and Guadalupe Sifuentes, and both parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00 am-11:00 am, services will be at 11:00 am at Baca's Funeral Chapel in Deming, NM. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
