Michael Ray Peelman, 79, a resident of Silver City, NM passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 19, 2026 surrounded by family. He was born March 28, 1947 in Fresno, CA to Raymond Peelman and Mary Aldean Rose.
Michael was genuinely a kind person that liked everyone he met. He was easy to talk to and told the most amazing stories about the past. He enjoyed being outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, exploring the Burro Mountains and observing nature's beauty. He loved spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan.
He loved reading Southwest History books and Gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda of the family home; his son, Raymond Peelman of Silver City; two daughters, Crystal Crowell of Silver City; Tiffiny Rascon and husband Arthur of Silver City; four grandchildren, Jada Crowell, Mia, Maci, and Miley Rascon; one sister, Raylene Cardwell; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ronnie, Tyrone, and Gaylord Peelman; one sister, Darla Peelman; his son in-law, Ralph Crowell.
A private ceremony was held with family.
