AringtonNatalieNatalie D. Arington (Clay, Ackerly), 62, Deming resident passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Mimbres Valley Medical Center with her husband Stewart by her side.

She was born March 13, 1964 in Park Ridge, Illinois to Garner Howard Clay Jr. and Carolyn Sue McLane. Natalie grew up in Greenfield, Indiana and graduated from Central High School in Greenfield. She later attended Arizona State University and received her bachelor's degree. She loved animals, especially her dogs and her most precious Standard Poodle, Torrie. Together they volunteered at Gateway Airport in Phoenix, AZ in the C.A.R.E Team Therapy Dogs. Natalie was also a Real Estate Broker and later became self-employed as a Health Insurance Broker. She found profound joy in helping others gain proper health insurance for themselves and their families. She was a member of Rotary District 5520 here in Deming and the American Legion Auxiliary. On June 4, 2024 she married Stewart W. Arington and together they shared many memoires and beautiful times until her passing. Natalie will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Stewart W. Arington; her step-children, Leah Arington Badgwell, Damian J. Badgwell, and Samuel Stewart Arington; a step-granddaughter, Rosemary Faye Badgwell; as well and many friends and extended family. Natalie is preceded in death by her parents Garner Howard Jr. and Carolyn Sue Clay; as well as her sister, Kimberly Clay.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 11 o'clock in the morning at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Pastor David Duffy will be officiating. Natalie will be escorted by the American Legion Riders at 10 o'clock in the morning from Baca's Funeral Chapel if any friends or family wish to join escorting our beloved Natalie.
