Santa Fe, NM — In light of recent and unfortunate findings that indicate politically-motivated omissions from a report published by Chairwoman Andrea Romero (D-Santa Fe) and the "Survivors' Truth Commission," Senate Republican Leader Bill Sharer (R-Farmington) is publicly renewing his demands for the commission to immediately issue subpoenas for Deb Haaland and Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury.

After it was revealed that Democrat members of the commission omitted damning information about Deb Haaland, these Democrats failed to acknowledge and correct their intentional deception of the New Mexico public. They have also failed to address the urgent nature of Senator Sharer's demands for accountability and transparency ahead of an upcoming statewide election that will determine our state's future.

"This is simple: the so-called 'truth' commission was caught running interference for Deb Haaland and in order to retain any sense of credibility, they must immediately do their job and let the people of New Mexico hear the truth directly from Haaland," said Senator Sharer. "New Mexicans deserve the opportunity to hear an unfiltered explanation of her reported ties to Jeffrey Epstein and his criminal syndicate. If there's nothing to hide, the silence from Deb Haaland and the proven cover-up from the taxpayer-funded 'truth' commission are concerning to say the least."

Senate Republicans remain committed to holding this publicly-funded investigatory commission accountable and true to its word on behalf of all New Mexicans.
