Interstates:
I-10 Business Loop 22, Pine St. Resurfacing Project, Mile Marker 0 to 4.2, Deming
Intermountain Slurry Seal Inc., (Contractor) has completed the resurfacing project on Pine Street. Stripping is scheduled to take place as soon as the contractor is available. During this process, please use caution for slow moving traffic and lane closures as needed.
I-25 Guardrail Replacement Project, Mile Marker 6 to 14.2, Las Cruces to Dona AnaLC00384
J-H Supply Company, Inc. (Contractor) will begin a guardrail and concrete barrier wall project on Interstate 25 from Las Cruces to just north of Doña Ana starting May 18. Once work begins, lane closures will be in place in both directions for guardrail removal and replacement.
I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 125 to 139, south of SocorroCN1102190
Mountain States Constructors Inc. (Contractor) is continuing a roadway reconstruction project on I-25 from mile marker 125 to mile marker 139(San Antonio). Lane closures will be in place on both the southbound and northbound lanes for milling and paving operations. Speed limits will be reduced throughout the project. Contractor's working hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend work.
I-25 Business Loop Roadway Rehabilitation Project, T or C Downtown
Roadsafe Traffic Systems (Contractor) will continue with pavement marking adjustments to the downtown T or C area. Lane closures will be in place for the contractor to finalize striping, place signage and bollards along the roadway for the safety of the cyclists. This project is expected to take no more than 60 working days. Contractors' working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
US Roadways:
US 70, Utility installation, Mile Marker 152 to 153, Las Cruces
Renegade Construction LLC (Contractor) will be making repairs along US 70/Bataan Memorial Hwy from mile marker 152 to 153 in the eastbound lanes. Work consists of Utility installation, reconstruction of roadway, shoulder work, signage and striping. Working hours are from 7 am to 4 pm and work is scheduled to be completed by July 17, 2026.
US 70, Manhole Cover repairs, Mile Marker 29 to 27, Lordsburg
A Mountain Construction (Contractor) will be adjusting the manhole covers on Us 70 from mile marker 29.63 to 28.63. Overnight lane closures will be in place throughout the duration of the project. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, use caution in the work zone, and follow all posted signage. The project is anticipated to be completed by May 22, 2026.
State Roadways:
NM 1, Railroad Repairs, Mile Marker 45, Bosque Del Apache Railroad crossing
BSNF along with NMDOT will have NM 1 closed for railroad track repairs starting on Wednesday, May 20th and remaining closed until Thursday, May 21st. Working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
NM 213 & NM 404, Roadway Widening, Mile Marker 0 to 2, Chaparral E100321/322
FNF Construction Inc. (Contractor) has begun roadway reconstruction project on NM 213 and NM 404. This project was placed into suspension as on February 25, 2026, due to unforeseen issues impacting ongoing construction.
NM 101, University Ave Multimodal Project, Mesilla LC00290
La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be finalizing the multi-modal project on University Avenue/New Mexico State Road 101 from Avenida de Mesilla to South Main Street. All lanes are now open, please expect temporary lane closures as needed. Work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed. NM 11, Box Culvert, Mile Marker .08, Columbus Port of Entry
Morrow Ent. Inc. (Contractor) will be constructing a concrete box at the intersection of NM 11 and El Paso Ave, just north of the Port of Entry. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and work is expected to be completed by Fall 2026.
Chip Seal Projects, Luna Co:
NM 9, Fog Sealing, Mile Marker 86 to 110, Columbus
NMDOT Maintainers have completed Fog Sealing operations on NM 9 from Animas to the Dona Ana/Luna County line. Roadway is scheduled for striping.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has begun Chip Seal operations on roadways in the Deming area of Luna County. During operations, drivers can expect flagging personnel, pilot vehicles, and temporary stops. Brooming will occur during and after the sealing process. Loose gravel may remain on road surfaces for a few days post-treatment. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note that center striping will be absent in work zones until completion. Roads scheduled for chip sealing, in order:

City of Las Cruces Projects:
N. Melendres St.
Las Cruces Motorists are advised that N. Melendres St. between W. Hadley Ave. and W. Picacho Ave. will continue with the Reconstruction Project by A-Mountain Construction. During construction, access to N. Melendres St. will not be permitted to through traffic. Signage and detours will be present directing traffic around the work zone. The work has been extended and is expected to be completed by June 8, 2026.
TXDOT I-10 Project:
I-10 Widening West Closures
Saturday, May 16 – Sunday, May 17 (33-HR Closure), 3 a.m. – 12 p.m.
I-10 westbound between Los Mochis and Antonio full closure.
Detour: Traffic will exit at Los Mochis, proceed onto North Desert through the intersections at Vinton and Anthony, and enter I-10 westbound after Anthony.
Crews will be working on a westbound traffic switch. Once closure lifts, traffic will be on inside travel lanes and Exit 0 and Vinton entrance ramp will be closed westbound.
Thursday, May 21, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. (Night)
I-10 eastbound at Anthony full closure
Detour: Traffic will exit at I-10 eastbound at Anthony, proceed onto South Desert, through the Anthony and Vinton intersections, and enter I-10 after Los Mochis
Crews will be working on striping repairs.

Alternate Lane closures on US54 EB/WB between Mesquite Hills and McCombs. Mesquite Hills reduced to one lane between US54 and Red Man Dr. Flaggers will be on site directing traffic as needed for haul trucks crossing Mesquite Hills. Flaggers will be on site directing traffic as needed for haul trucks crossing at McCombs and Stan Roberts.
Crews will be transporting earth embankment into the project.
