"I have an RV just outside of Silver City," she said. "It's at --- and ---- ."

I told her it is a nice place to keep an RV. I had been speaking to Ann and told her I live in Silver City. My sister Joyce and I were checking into her Airbnb in San Antonio.

When we first got there Ann told us she couldn't help us move my walker. That is because she has a bad back and she "has to set some limits." I was sympathetic when she said she had four health problems. While Joyce was taking in the walker and our luggage I stayed to talk to the owner and our host. .

Ann has diabetes which she got as a side effect of some medicine she had taken. I didn't ask her what her third and fourth health problems were. And I doubted she wanted to hear about my medical issues so I wished her a good night and left to go into our assigned room.

This was the first time I stayed at an Airbnb and I was surprised at just how pretty it was. Ann did a good job decorating the room. She pulled everything together with a Turquoise and Orange decor. The drapes, the bed skirt and the shower curtains were all turquoise and the tie sash, the bed cover, and the wash cloths were orange. And in a special touch she put a very light turquoise mesh scrub on the sink. I never would have thought of doing something like that but it was the final touch that made everything perfect.

However, I was disappointed with our experience at Ann's Place. That evening when we returned from our sight-seeing, she complained because we had yelled at each other in the morning. And that she wanted us to leave. So Joyce really got mad at me because I got us kicked out. And she said it was all my fault.

The two of us have never developed a process to resolve differences. I am sure no one likes to hear, "I don't think that is a good idea and I think we should ..." I just wish we could learn to talk about our differences without getting red hot mad. Our difference is that it was well past 11 AM and I thought we should be getting out and seeing the sights in San Antonio. And she thought she needed to do more research.

Well, we stayed there for two of the three nights Joyce reserved. From there we went to a Hilton Garden Inn just outside of the airport. So in the end everything worked out and it wasn't catastrophic that we got kicked out of an Airbnb.

Overall Joyce and I had a good time while we were in San Antonio. We took a Hop On Hop Off bus tour, several river cruises, and went to three museums.

So we got kicked out of a place. And Joyce says it is all my fault. But all I am willing to concede is that things are not often perfect. And that we had a nice trip and a good time is good enough for me.
