Five WNMU Mustang football players were named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All Academic team this week. Redshirt Freshman Zayde Khalil and Junior Jarret Yargus were named to the 2nd team. Khalil has played in each game this season as an offensive lineman helping to lead the Mustang offense to prolific numbers. The Stang offense has consistently been in the top 10 in the nation in several offensive categories including total offense, 3,413 yards, 36 touchdowns and have given up only 6 QB sacks in seven games. Yargus has started every game at defensive end accounting for 3.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for a loss and helped the Mustang defense become one of the stingiest in the conference.
Redshirt Freshman Justin Butler, QB; Junior Moises Barragan, DL and Sophomore Mike Rand, LB were named to the Honorable Mention team for the conference honor. All have seen time on the field this season in limited action but have contributed to the Mustang's success so far.
