WNMU women's golf got a taste of the teams they'll face in the South Central Region as they look to return to the NCAA national tournament this season. Playing in the DBU Classic hosted by Dallas Baptist University proved that the region is going to be very competitive this season. St. Edwards University took the team title in the 36 hole, 2 day event with a 20 over par 596 team total, six strokes better than Midwestern State. Host Dallas Baptist finished third 5 strokes behind MSU. The Lady Stangs completed play in 14th place in the 17 team field. WNMU was the only RMAC team competing in the tourney.

WNMU struggled in blustery weather on day one firing, a 327 lead by freshman Bianca Dominguez' 79. Dominguez posted a 2nd day 83 to finish in 54th place overall. Faylyn Beyale was one stroke back at 80 after the first day of play but rebounded with a solid 75 tying for 22nd place individually. Haley Raymond and Arrianna Estrada mirrored each other with identical rounds of 84-80 tying for 61st position. Cheyenne Molina rounded out the Mustang scoring with 87-89 landing in 84th place.
This is the final tournament for the Lady Stangs' fall schedule. They will return to play early next semester.
