Virus Theater Unleashes Three: A Wild, Warmhearted Reimagining of a Fairy-Tale Classic, Opening Friday, December 12, 2025 – Silver City, New Mexico
Silver City's Virus Theater invites audiences to huff, puff, and laugh their way into the holiday season with Three, a bold new original play that turns the familiar tale of The Three Little Pigs delightfully and hilariously on its head. Three is directed by Teresa Dahl-Bredine and features Heather Bee Castello, Joshua Rex, Douglas Shelton, Kristen Warnack, and Grace Mumby.
In this fast-paced, irreverent comedy, the three pigs have done far more than build their iconic houses. They've constructed entire identities around fear and self-protection. The walls they've built with sticks and straws – nothing feels safe enough. Everything changes when the Big Bad Wolf shows up and they begin questioning the stories they've been fed and the ones they've told themselves.
A rollicking blend of slapstick humor and emotional truth, Three explores loneliness, fear, and the unexpected connections that emerge when you dare to flip the script. It's a comedic whirlwind about dismantling the walls we build and discovering that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let someone in.
