The Grant County Community Concert Association presents the award-winning violin-piano duo Yang & Olivia on Sunday, March 30th in the WNMU Fine Arts Theater at 3 PM. Come and immerse yourself in their fiery performance.
Yang Liu has won many international competitions and performed with Orchestras around the world. His repertoire reaches from the Baroque period to modern works and from Western classical to Eastern traditional. The passion you feel in his playing continues into his advocacy of cultural exchange via classical music. He is the founder of the Yang and Olivia Foundation and Momento Virtuosi, a chamber ensemble of players and instruments from around the world.
Dr. I-Hsuan Olivia Tsai is an associate professor at the VanderCook College of Music. As a pianist she has played at the Aspen and Muicorda Festivals in the U.S. and has appeared as a soloist with multiple orchestras around the world. She has played at music festivals in Brazil and Portugal. She is the co-founder of the Yang & Olivia Foundation to promote cultural exchange through Classical music.
Individual tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Pink Store on Bullard, on-line at www.gcconcerts.org or at the door the night of the concert. Children to age 17 are admitted free of charge.
