LEGAL NOTICE

The Town of Silver City's Reuse and Recycle Committee will hold a Meeting on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Little Toad Creek, 200 N. Bullard, Silver City, New Mexico. The public is invited to attend.

Action items on the agenda are:

Roll Call

Approval of Agenda

Approval of Minutes August 14, 2026

Old Business

A. Revisit "First Steps" and options

B. Before presenting concepts/plans to the public at large, the committee needs to educate itself regarding potential toxins in sewage sludge, and in other organics used in composting sludge.

C. Chris to report on progress of possible fact-finding trip to Carlsbad to visit their waste management facilities.

New Business

A. Member round table discussion.

I) Should we move forward with checking into using the possible site at Scott Park for a

Recycling center?

II) If yes, then we need to decide who will go (all members?) and when

III) Who will contact Len Zamora (575-519-0297) to arrange a date & time

B. Update from Silver City Recycles (SCR), including report on the Town Hall and party hosted by SCR on August 22nd.
