SPECIAL BOARD MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Thursday, May 28, 2026 has been changed to Friday, May 29, 2026. Commencing at 4:00 p.m. until adjourned meeting.

THE BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR THE SILVER CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS WILL MEET IN THE BOARD ROOM AT 2810 NORTH SWAN STREET, SILVER CITY, NEW MEXICO 88061

The President of the Board of Education for the Silver Consolidated Schools announces the Board of Education will meet in a Special Board Meeting to hold a personnel hearing. Open meeting with Pledge of Allegiance and approval of agenda The Board of Education for the Silver Consolidated Schools will meet in executive session pursuant and take action pursuant to Section 10-15-1(H)(2) and (3) of the Open Meetings Act on a personnel matter pursuant to Section 22-10A-24 of the School Personnel Act, in order to conduct a personnel hearing regarding the termination of the employment of one, Mr. Jerome Ortiz.

Action Item: Upon completion of the executive session to conduct a personnel hearing, the Board will reenter open session to take formal action on the termination of Mr. Ortiz or continue the meeting.
