Maxx will introduce you to Gouache with paints that she made (from Push/Pull in Seattle) and easy to follow step-by-step instructions. You'll learn how to layer Gouache to create depth and light, how to place landmarks in your landscape to control focus, and how to make a simple palette of 6 hues into a world of color.

All materials are provided. Includes a set of paints that you get to keep. Cost: $45, includes materials.

Maxx is a Seattle interdisciplinary artist, illustrator, curator, event planner, community organizer, and designer. Her work is rooted in intersectional feminism and community.

She is the Director of Push/Pull, an artist cooperative gallery and community space in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle supporting the work of over 200 artists per year.

Maxx is a teaching artist and helping others express themselves creatively is a fundamental part of her own artistic process.
