Join the Gila Community Foundation and the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments for the Pathways to Progress: Board Governance Training on July 29, 2026 in Silver City.
This free training is designed for nonprofit leaders, board members, elected officials, municipalities, and special districts looking to strengthen governance, leadership, compliance, and procurement practices.
Participants may register for the full-day workshop, the morning governance session, or the afternoon procurement session. Lunch is provided.

Morning Session (9AM - 12PM)
Participants interested only in the Board Governance portion of the Pathways to Progress workshop may register for a Morning Board Governance Ticket. Morning-session attendees will participate in the governance training through lunch and will not attend the afternoon procurement training.
This session is ideal for board members, nonprofit leaders, and public officials seeking to strengthen governance, leadership, and oversight practices within their organizations. Participants will leave with practical resources and actionable strategies that can be implemented immediately within their organizations and governing bodies.
Afternoon Session (12PM - 5PM)
Individuals who have previously attended the Pathways to Progress: Board Governance Workshop may register for an Afternoon Procurement Training Ticket. This option is intended for returning participants who have already completed the Board Governance portion of the training and only need the procurement component. Afternoon-only participants will join the workshop following the lunch break for the procurement training session.
This session is ideal for participants seeking to strengthen their understanding of procurement requirements and compliance practices within their organizations. Participants will leave with practical resources and actionable strategies that can be implemented immediately within their organizations and governing bodies.
