Synopsis: Arrest made in Bomb Threat Case
Suspect: Damian R. Gutierrez Age: 35
Silver City, New Mexico
Narrative:
On Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 8:59 AM officers of the Silver City Police Department responded to Albertson's in reference to a bomb threat. After searching the premises no bomb was found.
As a result of their investigation officers were able to trace the cell phone number used by the perpetrator. The cell phone number came back registered to Damian R. Gutierrez (suspect). Mr. Gutierrez admitted to making the bomb threat call to Central Dispatch.
An arrest warrant for Bomb Scares Unlawful, a fourth Degree Felony, was obtained for Mr. Gutierrez arrest.
On Monday, October 31, 2011 Damian R. Gutierrez was arrested on the charge of Bomb Scares Unlawful from a warrant issued by Magistrate Court. Mr. Gutierrez was booked and transported to the Grant County Detention Center and is being held on a $5,000.00 bond.
