A high-speed pursuit Wednesday night, involving Grant County Sheriff's Department, Silver City Police Department and New Mexico State Police personnel and vehicles resulted in the taking into custody of one suspect, according to Lt. Thomas Mora of the New Mexico State Police, who have taken over the investigation. No charges, as of noon Thursday, have been filed, and interviews and the investigation continue. Mora confirmed that the incident had involved the discharge of an officer's weapon.
No other details are known at this time.
