Rocky and Lynn Mondello, owners of Morning Star Screen Printing, which was established in 1992, are celebrating the business' 20th anniversary this month. The main celebration will be a 20 percent off sale in the Morning Star parking lot on Saturday, Feb. 25. The event will include food and a band.
"We were doing screen printing at home," Rocky said. "We decided to get a store. We learned and the business evolved. We learned to meet customers' needs."
At Morning Star, custom screen printing and embroidery are done in house, meeting the needs of youths and participants in sports of almost any kind.
"From the beginning, our motto has been ‘Quality Products for Quality People,' and we mean it," Rocky said. "It has been a lot of hard work and dedication, but the community supports us."
Three of the Mondello sons now work with their parents in the business.
"We go to shows twice a year, including the Imprinted Sports Show," Rocky said. "We have state-of-the-art equipment."
In addition to the clothing items for sale, the screen printing and embroidery, Morning Star creates promotional items for business owners, who want to bring more attention to their businesses and products.
