Synopsis: Burglaries

Location: Silver City, New Mexico

Narrative:

On October 21, 2012, at about 12:06am, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the area of Leslie Road and Sara Ct. The vehicle was a black 2002 Pontiac GrandAm.

According to the investigation the burglary happened sometime between 5:30 pm and 11:30 pm on October 20, 2012. According to the victim the only item taken from the vehicle was the registration. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

On October 22, 2012, at about 8:48am, a burglary of a shed was reported behind the Grant County Extension Office located at 2610 N. Silver Street.

According to the investigation the burglary happened sometime between June 01, 2012 and 11:31am on October 18, 2012. Items taken from the shed were two older model black Dell Laptop computers, black 40" Viewsonic Television, and a white 1995 desk top computer. The approximate total value is $$6,544.96. According to the reporting person, 3 of the items, the dell computers and the television were possibly stolen in June or July of 2012 and the other item stolen between October 16 and 18, 2012. It appeared entry was gained through forcing the shed doors open.

On October 23, 2012, at about 2:37pm, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported behind the El Mundo Restaurant located at 700 N. Bullard Street. The vehicle was a white 1987 Toyota 4-door.
According to the investigation the burglary happened between 2:30pm on October 22, 2012 and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2012. According to the victim, the only item taken from the vehicle was a blue roadside kit with reflective stripes. Entry was possibly gained by opening the small driver's side window. The victim said the person(s) responsible also broke the windshield on the vehicle. The total value is $230.

On October 23, 2012, at about 10:05pm, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported at the Exxon Gas Station located at 855 Silver Heights Blvd. The vehicle was a tan 1995 Ford 4-door.

According to the investigation the burglary happened sometime between 7pm and 10pm on October 23, 2012. According to the victim the items taken from the vehicle were a silver Apple IPod and a Monster FM Transmitter. The value of the items is approximately $250. Entry into the vehicle was gained by breaking the driver's side window.

The investigation is continuing into these crimes.
