Synopsis: 1 Count: Aggravated Burglary (2nd Degree Felony)
8 Counts: Larceny of a Firearm (4th Degree Felony each count)
8 Counts: Disposing of Stolen Property (4th Degree Felony each count)
1 Count; Criminal Damage to Property (Petty Misdemeanor)

Suspect # 1: Vincent Montano Age: 20
Silver City, New Mexico

Suspect # 2: Kateba Gyles Age: 29
Silver City, New Mexico

Narrative:

On Monday, November 14, 2011 officers of the Silver City Police Department filled charges against Vincent Montano and Kateba Gyles in connection to a Burglary committed on July 29, 2010 at Copper Country ATV and Cycle, 505 N Hudson St. Silver City New Mexico.

Vincent Montano (suspect # 1) has been charged in a criminal summons for 1 count of Aggravated Burglary (2nd degree felony), 8 counts of Larceny of a Firearm (4th degree felony each count), and 1 count of Criminal Damage to Property (petty misdemeanor). Mr. Montano was served a criminal summons on the above charges at the Luna County Detention Center were he is currently incarcerated.

Kateba Gyles (suspect #2) has also been charged with 1 count of Aggravated Burglary (2nd degree felony), 8 counts of Larceny of a Firearm (4th degree felony each count), and 1 count of Criminal Damage to Property (petty misdemeanor). Ms. Gyles was arrested on the warrant on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 4:30 PM.

Mr. Montano remains incarcerated at the Luna County Detention Center. Ms. Gyles was booked into the Grant County Detention Center and was being held under a $25,000.00 bond.

The Silver City Police Department is continuing its investigation into this incident and is asking any one with information concerning this incident to please call the department at (575) 538-3723.
