Synopsis: Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon

Location: 12th Street Snappy Mart

Victim: 26 years of age male
Silver City, New Mexico

Suspect: James A. Dominguez Age: 25
Silver City, New Mexico

Narrative:
On Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 7:47 PM officers of the Silver City Police Department were dispatched to the 12th St. Snappy Mart in reference to a stabbing complaint.

Upon the officer's arrival, they were informed by the victim that he was at the 12th Street Snappy Mart with 2 friends and that James Dominguez (suspect) and his girl friend were there. The victim then stated that he made a comment about Mr. Dominguez's girl friend and that Mr. Dominguez took offense as to what was said. The victim then stated that it felt like he was being punched in the back. Mr. Dominguez then ran to his vehicle and left the Snappy Mart. The victim noticed that he had been stabbed.

As officers were giving first aid to the victim, they noticed that he had three small puncture wounds to the left lower back. The victim was transported to Gila Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Mr. Dominguez, who was located a short time later, was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. Mr. Dominguez was booked into the Grant County Detention Center and held under a $10,000.00 bond.
