A public hearing is scheduled on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 for the Clovis Landfill solid waste permit renewal and modification. The hearing will be held at the Clovis-Carver Public Library, North Annex, 701 North Main Street. The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include time for public comments.
A permit is requested for a lateral and vertical expansion of the landfill disposal area and to dispose of additional special wastes: (asbestos, ash, industrial waste, killing plan offal, petroleum contaminated soils, spill of a chemical substance, car wash basin grit) Copies of the hearing notice and permit application are available for review at the City of Clovis office 801 South Norris, and the Clovis-Carver Public Library, 701 North Main Street, Clovis, NM.
