fevamracHis name is "Reynard", a visiting grey fox. And "Yes, we sometimes name our critters." Come to the FeVa Fotos February show at the MRAC gallery and also meet Rocky, Cliff and many more delightful creatures. (Photo by Feutz and Vaughn)"Critters We Have Known" is the title of the new FeVa Fotos photography exhibit that opens at the Mimbres Region Art Council gallery with a reception from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. on Friday, February 1. Part of the fulfillment of the FeVa Fotos motto "Share the Joy" is, when the opportunity presents itself, to capture a moment with wildlife or not-so-wild life and share the images with others. And that is what this fun exhibit is all about!

Silver City photographers Sandy Feutz and Tom Vaughan have been showing their work for the last decade in galleries in Colorado, Utah and southern Arizona, as well as Silver City. This past December they presented their photography in Washington, D.C. FeVa Fotos photography has also been published in local, regional, national and international media and publications. The February exhibit at the MRAC gallery shows just a small part of what catches the eye of these two prolific photographers. Their portfolios also include landscapes, events, social issues, portrait shots, macro photos and those spectacular New Mexico skies. FeVa Fotos photography can be seen at the Grant County Art Guild Gallery on Bullard Street as well as other locations around Silver City.

The special gallery for this exhibit adjoins the Mimbres Region Art Council office that is located within the Wells Fargo Bank building, 1201 North Page Street in Silver City. Following the February 1 opening reception, the exhibit will be available for viewing Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. throughout the month of February.

When you stop by for the reception, in addition to the photography show, there will be tasty treats and refreshing drinks offered and a door prize. FeVa Fotos original photo cards, featuring the variety of "Critters We Have Known" being honored in the show, will be available. It is a great time to visit with friends, neighbors, artists and see what is happening in the local art scene in Silver City.
